This Year, American super brand Tommy Hilfiger celebrates it's 25th year anniversary with a special fall collection titled "Icon". Supported by a global campaign consisting of all time style icons, Steve McQueen, Grace Kelly, and artist Michael Zavros (who will create custom images for the ads) - the line "Icon" is set to retail in Hilfiger stores worldwide this Autumn. This is the first time designer Peter Som will be consulting for the line - there hasn't been much press on this news, but it is in fact another great step in transition for the brand, after being purchased in March by Calvin Klein owner, Phillips-Van Heusen. Last week the Tommy Hilfiger brand hosted their casual summer cocktails event at the Gramercy Park Hotel and did a little early celebration for its 25th anniversary with champagne, and seafood. Tommy Hilfiger himself was not present but Prabal Gurung, Eddie Borgo, Jim Moore, Sessilee Lopez, Alexis Bryan Morgan, Erin Kaplan, Richard Phillips, and Josephine Meckseper did attend the event. The "Icon" fall line is preppy with a hint of pop, consisting of Ivy League looks turned sophisticated. This line is all about trench coats, cashmere sweatshirts, pencil skirts, and pea coats. Of course this season, you can never go wrong with accessorizing to give your outfits an extra hint of glam, and we see plenty of accessorizing with "Icon" - snakeskin bags, skinny belts, signet rings, bangle bracelets, chunky infinity scarves, and duck boots are all in fashion with Tommy Hilfiger this fall season. The partnership with designer Peter Som is a very delighting and youthful approach this season - one can only imagine what styles are yet to come. The future is never set for fashion, but as far as the present is concerned, the Tommy Hilfiger brand continues to create innovative designs which will definitely trend throughout the industry.
